Shaykh Sayyid Jufri Al-Hadhrami was a prominent 18th-century Islamic scholar and Sufi master who migrated from Hadhramaut (Yemen) to Malabar (Kerala). He settled in Calicut under the patronage of the Zamorin and played an influential role in regional politics, religious teachings, and spiritual guidance.
He was a leader in the Shafi-Sufi tradition and authored multiple manuscripts in Arabic. During his residency in Malabar, he actively resisted foreign colonial encroachments and advanced regional education networks.
